mztv.com

So of course when I go to www.mztv.com, the first thing I click on is Marilyn Monroe and the Unblinking Eye. I am totally obsessed with Marilyn and every single movie that she was in. This section describes how television made Marilyn absolutely famous and how she became a sex icon. Since she was so popular on television, it eventually led to her becoming a movie star. Even after her death, they continues to play her shows and movies on t.v. and documentaries about her death.

It is very interesting seeing the timeline of the television and how it morphed throughout the years. Who would have known how t.v. would be today? Especially that Americans are spending most their time in a day watching t.v. The timeline showed everything from the first commercial, which was fined by the U.S. Federal Radio Commission, to FDR being elected. In 1940, CBS announced the invention of Color TV. Which obviously was a major step in the evolution of television. In 1948, The Ed Sullivan was aired, which we all know was one of the most popular shows in t.v. history. In 1956, Elvis Presley was on The Ed Sullivan show WAIST UP! This just shows how they could not show sexual things on the t.v. years ago. Now, you see boobs and nudity all the time. In the late 60's, they televised such tragedies such as JFK getting shot and Martin Luther King Jr. It is absolutely amazing to see the changes and improvements that television has gone through though out the years.
